The Gospel Showcase was broadcast for the first time on January 8, 1987 with Farrell Johnson at the helm. Throughout the years the Showcase has touched many lives with its music and inspiration. The current host of the Gospel Showcase, JR Pitsenbarger, carries on that tradition every Sunday night.
